A super-yacht evening for Jean-Claude Van Damme turned into a cinematic route across three decks. La Miré delivered the key visual, full identity and 3D architecture, built themed spaces, staged lighting and water-surface projections, and directed the show end-to-end – from artist casting to guest flow. The narrative moved guests from discipline to focus to influence, mirroring JCVD’s own journey.
task & context
A private, invitation-only premiere on a super-yacht during the Cannes season. The night had to feel like a film in motion – and convert its buzz into tangible investor interest.
Task:
• Architect a three-deck storyline – Discipline → Focus → Influence
• Deliver turnkey show direction & production – casting, scripts, timing
• Create full key visual & identity, 3D spaces, water projections, lighting
• Produce press-ready assets within 12 hours post-event
Context:
• Multi-level vessel, tight build windows, strict safety
• Private A-list – celebrities, producers, investors; zero leaks
• Festival-week logistics – limited berth access, congested schedule
• Mixed acoustics & lighting – open decks, sea reflections
• Persona alignment with JCVD and partner brands
idea & concept
Key line:
Discipline → Focus → Influence
Three themed decks
BEN-HUR – Strength forged in motion: the Roman epic as a code of training, honor and foundation.
ENTER THE DRAGON – Energy disciplined by mind: Eastern mastery, breath control and precision.
THE GODFATHER – Power defined by silence: maturity, loyalty and quiet authority.
Inspiration sources: Roman iconography • Martial-arts minimalism • Coppola-style chiaroscuro • Night sea & Cannes skyline • 1970s poster craft • Signal lighting & DMX dramaturgy.
